Got Inspired

the following is just some details on Stargazer that weren't really touched on in the original FiE
i got inspired to write this
but didn't want to get hopes up with posting it as a new story, as i'm still not sure if i'll revive it. just feel like getting this out there

"You came from the skies, you're unlike anything in Equestria." Luna said, the filly looking upon the strange organism before her after he was deemed to not be a threat. Her older sister with her, both seated upon pillows with him in a chair.

"Indeed." he replied, the pleasant glow of that blue X on his chest and the vibrant shade of purple his fire like hair had illuminating them in the dim room.

"Perhaps you might regale us your story?" Celestia asked.

"Well... to start I'm born of the stars. I started my life as a small little blue and black pudgy creature I call a Starblazer, when enough of them gather together or enough energy is stored within a single one a Red Giant is formed. A giant red version of the little guys, within it all the energy it eats slowly condenses until a White Dwarf forms. These White Dwarves then consume the body and have but one goal in mind, find as much energy as they can and stabilize."

"Why is that?" Luna asked

"White Dwarves burn through their energy very quickly and need to replenish it at a rate that exceeds their rapid consumption. If they manage to accumulate enough energy quickly enough they stabilize, and become what you see before you. However, I've never met others that have survived the White Dwarf phase, to my knowledge I'm the only one that has." he said sadly

"Are there any special perks to surviving and entering that stage of life?" Celestia asked

"Much like a star my life will stretch for eons unless something were to happen to shorten it. Another is that I can command the stars, utilize their energy. I can make a shield around my body, fire arrows of starlight, among other things. All based on the constellations, utilizing their power of being a group of stars."

"That's incredible." Luna said with wide eyes and a bright smile.

"I must agree, you're quite an interesting creature," Celestia paused, "what should we call you?"

"How about Stargazer? since he can do stuff with stars!" Luna offered excitedly. The man laughed and smiled at the two princess fillies.

"Sure, I like the way it sounds." he said. "Besides, I like it here...don't think I'll leave anytime soon." To this he got cheers from the girls and hugs.

3 years later

Stargazer knelt before the mother of the princesses on one knee with head bowed.

"Stargazer, you've shown the prowess to protect, the wisdom to guide, and the care so required by all who wish to keep Equestria safe. It is with great honor that I knight you on behalf of the people, the royal family, and the future of our great nation" The blade she had unsheathed during this speech touched his shoulders one at a time.

"With this, I hereby dub thee Sir Stargazer, personal retainer to my dearest daughters. May you keep them safe and happy. Now rise"

He did so, smiling at them all. "I humbly accept this responsibility, I'll be like a big brother to them"

"They already see you as such." Their mom said with a smile.

After the ceremony he was immediately smothered in the affection of the two pony sisters, a smile on his face as he returned said affection warmly.

Years later

Nightmare Moon was sealed away and the elements now rendered useless were nothing more than hunks of stone.

"What a shame, here I thought I'd have to deal with two tired princesses"

"Why, why do all this? Why poison your own sister's mind to try and usurp the throne? Why dear brother would you do this to us?!" Celestia's indignant shout shattered all the windows as her royal canterlot voice reached a new height, even today it is rumored it could be heard around the world. Tears rolling down her face. "I thought you loved us..."

"I realized through my run in with Discord and Sombra, before he disappeared like the coward he is, that my power is best used not as a shield, but a sword. I must use it as such and create a world that is more peaceful and prosperous from my power. I knew you two would use these elements on me if I tried...so I took care of that problem, besides you and I both know you and your sister never found the last 2 elements, only the 6 the tree gave you along with its cryptic hint on the last 2."

Celestia stood shakily, glaring at her brother with fire in her eyes. "You want to lead our people as a warmonger? For what purpose? There can't be true peace through bloodshed!"

He looked at her, those once shining blue eyes of his now a shade of red with a green sclera. Celestia stepped back slightly.

"You've lost your mind to the darkness, to the chaos! The very things we sought to keep the world safe from!"

"Perhaps I've lost my mind, perhaps I've just got more clarity. Either way, you won't be here to see what happens. Perhaps I'll just unleash the White Dwarves and have them drain this world dry, might start with Tartarus and that Tirek fellow and whatever it is your grandmother kept secret on her deathbed. I imagine I can bolster my kind with the energy of this world."

"So that's it, find the last 2 elements, wage war to weaken the people enough for your Dwarves to feed and become like you." her pupils changed to flame shape as her coat gained an orange tint "What happened to all the times you sang to Luna to help her sleep? or helped me study? or taught us and cared for us! Did all that mean nothing to you!?"

"All of that was real, it was genuine, but now this is reality. This is me." He summoned his Sword of Aries.

"Then I'll reduce you to ash before the world has time to label you a criminal." She said darkly as she turned into Daybreaker and fought her beloved brother.

The sun rose high the next morning. Celestia covered in bruises, cuts, blood, dirt, you name it. No longer in her Daybreaker form, and with the center star of Orion's Belt shining a bit brighter.

"In the end I couldn't kill him...Only had enough energy to call on the elements one more time and seal him within the belt. Luna, forgive me for not seeing his trickery sooner, perhaps when you both come back to me we can start over. As a family" She sighed sadly as a tear fell from her face.

Many years later

As the Super Sonic Boom laced with Harmony and Lunar magic tore through his body Stargazer felt nothing. His nerves long since having stopped sending signals, his body from extremity to core slowly breaking apart piece by piece as he was destroyed by the attack. His mind flooded with all his memories of when he first arrived to now.

Celestia... Luna... Forgive your foolish brother... I'm sorry the thought echoed within his mind as the last of him was fully and completely destroyed in a spectacular display of Chaos energy and Magic.

Luna could only look at where he once was and let silent tears fall.
