So... still alive... a lot has changed...
Last post was august 2018... september I decided to reach out to the Air force... try my hand at joining the military again... As for what happened last time with the marines, honestly I was scared of joining... Wasn't mature enough yet so I backed out. Air Force refused to send me to retake my asvab even though the practice asvab they gave me in house I scored an 88... They were concerned over my weight... 175.3, with a max allowed weight of 180...? They wanted me below 175... and that was after weeks of losing weight... I had enough of that... (in addition to immense unprofessionalism...)
I talked to the Army... in two hours we accomplished more paperwork than the air force did after two weeks... more so in the following days... they got me to MEPS to take my asvab... scored a 97/99... 130s for my line scores... Picked my MOS... 17C, Cyber Ops Spec. I signed my contract late september... shipped to Ft Jackson SC October 15th... my 21st birthday was a week later. It was a cold cycle... Mid november it was warmer in Alaska... we had a field training exercise in the woods where during the day it was sub freezing... at night the temp was in the 10s... 6 people went hypothermic the first night... they're ok though. I lost feeling in my fingertips for a few weeks... wasn't fun... but regardless.... I was supposed to graduate January 17th... supposed to be in AIT... Pensacola Florida... until december 12th... but that didn't happen. I got hurt pretty bad in the end, Multiple fractures and tendon damage to my left hand... I'm mostly ok, it's healing well... hurts though... They sent me home to recover... I go back soon... I keep wanting to work on my writing... but it's always hard to find the time... and the inspiration... I've put Nova on hiatus for now... not that it makes a difference... it's been two and a half years since I've posted anything.... which kills me inside to admit aloud... I want to write... I really do... but... I've been occupied...
Coming back though and seeing even more followers than last time I logged in... months ago...? It's surprising to say the least... I'm not going to promise anything regarding an update to my stories... but this is me saying I still think of ponies... and I still think of all of you who read this.
