OC contest! · 7:44pm Aug 9th, 2016
Pass this blog around to anypony you know who might be interested. I would love to see lots of people enter.
The Contest: Write a two paragraph intro story for your OC
The prize: The winning OC gets featured in 1-2 chapters of PVFD
Rules:
1)Two paragraphs and two only, no more.
2)You must own the rights to the OC
3)Be creative, I am not looking for just a "description" of the OC, but why/who/where/how/when he or she knows of the PVFD. Is he or she a firepony in another country or city? Is he or she just a fan of the firepony? Perhaps they supply equipment, perhaps they are support staff. The sky is the limit.
How this works: You will edit and type up your little short intro, and post it here as a comment to this blog post.
When: Starts 8/9/2016 1:00PM(Pacific)
Ends: 8/16/2016 1:PM(Pacific)
Depending on entries, if it blows up big, I will take the top three or even top five that make the cut.
Good Luck all
"Hello?" Called a young, squeaky voice. Diamond Dancer nervously stepped into the large, empty building and glanced around. The sound of scuffling above drew her attention to the balcony, where a large, brown stallion with a brilliantly blonde mane was leering down at her. He wobbled faintly in his stance and drew his eyes to narrowed slits as the tiny filly entered the Fire Department. It was entirely FAR to late for a filly to be wandering around. He gave a snort and gave a dismissive wave of his hoof. The filly didn't seem to care. She marched up the stairs with a cheerful smile, and stopped just in front of him.
"Whadda want kid? It's...it's WAY to late to get a cat out of a tree." He grumbled. The little girl did not seem deterred. She offered him a nervous smile and held up a small sealed envelope.
"Uh...hey dare. You fall into a vat o' cidah or somedin? You smell like a bottle of da cheap stuff. Rescue right? Princess Luna has a message for you'se. Says she 'knows about da dreams' and she told me ta deliver dis. Didn't say you'se was...uh....indisposed." The little girl announced nervously, and took a step back, while the large muscular stallion loomed towards her. He swiped the envelope from her extended hoof and tore it open. Pulling the parchment free, he peered at it, frowned, and closed an eye. He peered at it again, shook his head, and then glanced at the girl, who looked like she were waiting for something.
"Who're you again?" He grumbled. Diamond took another step back. The large firefighter was good and drunk. She could tell, recounting the numerous times when she'd indulged in her passion for cider too much. He was doing his best to hide it, and years of practice complimented the talent, but the occasional slurred speech and wobbling gait was enough to convince Diamond otherwise. Before she could answer, the large brown stallion gave a snort, and turned to stagger back to where he came from, mumbling something about patron saints and honor and bad memories, leaving the girl to stand quietly alone. Somehow, Diamond expected she'd be making a lot more visits to this place on the behest of Luna. With that, she gave a quiet sigh and turned to leave, trotting out the door the way she came in.
