Yet Another Chapter Split (or My Horse Word Plans for the Immediate Future) · 2:05pm Jun 9th, 2016
It seems that every time I write a new chapter of Monster Hunter: Equestria, I discover that the chapter actually logically breaks down into two chapters, and end up splitting them along these logical breaks. chapter 1 became 1 & 2, chapter 3 became 3 & 4, and now chapter 5 is about to become 5 & 6. It's kinda like implementing proper function modularity in C++: Each chapter should be focused on moving the plot one point forward (i.e. try to have as few "and"s in your chapter description as possible).
What happened in this case was that, on closer examination, it made very little sense to mash the orientation up with the training arc in a single chapter, so the training arc (and any accompanying training action, sorry! 
) will be getting its own chapter after chapter 5. Conveniently, this means chapter 5 will mark the end of the first act of the story rather neatly: The setting will have been established, the main protagonists will all have been introduced (really looking forward to this part 
), and the stage will have been set for the action and central conflict.
Also, since I'll be counting chapter 5 as a complete chapter once it's done, that's when I'll start working on the next chapter of Desert Spice. Apparently a few of you are looking forward to that one. 
Thought I'd give y'all a heads-up when my plans became altered. (Pray I do not alter them further.

P.S. Why is there no sort of pony emote on Fimfiction for a predatory grin?
