My Little Apprentice sequel coming soon... · 7:39am Feb 13th, 2015
Hey everypony! Sorry I've been gone for so long. I've greatly enjoyed my vacation, but I think it's high time I get back here and get back to writing. As of this writing, it's been a year and six days since I joined Fimfiction, and eleven months since I started writing. Time to get back into the game, as they say.
My Little Apprentice now ends at chapter 16. This blog post talks about why, but for you TLDR folks, just know that I'm making the story into a trilogy. I feel like I failed to tell the story I really wanted to... as I wrote two chapters a week, the story didn't have adequate creative control and ended up getting ahead of me. As a result, I don't feel like what came after Discord really reflected my original vision.
The sequel to My Little Apprentice (part 2 of the trilogy) is going to be posted this coming Monday. It sometimes takes an hour or two for approval, but once that happens I'll post another blog entry.
This new trilogy is going to be much more like the story before chapter 16 than the story after it. I'm still considering Harmony Defended cannon (it may get the same treatment one day, but more adding large sections than a sequelification), but it shouldn't have a large impact on this story.
Those of you who still wish to read the old sections can download the epub, html, or text versions of it, or read the less corrected version on my deviantart.
Is it going to be the same story? Kindof. You might spot a few scenes from the old version, particularly in the first few chapters, but in general the story is new content. I'm almost completely done with it (I haven't really been taking a break, just taking a break from posting new content), so I'm a little more confident about the direction I went this time.

The Deviantart version has the old chapters that can no longer be found on Fimfiction, in case you want to read it how it used to be. The new version will be posted as a new story here, on Monday. I'm not asking anyone to leave Fimfiction who wants to stay along for the new story to come.
