Dear Readers,
In my many days here on FIMFiction.net, I've come to notice the "Browse" tab up in the top-left-hand/hoof corner of the screen. I hardly use the thing, as I tend to write more than I read here. So it makes sense that, after so long, I've only just now noticed the link "Top - All Time" found within the tab (I prefer the "Categories" and "Character" filters). I was actually quite happy to find it, as many an author I've come to adore on this site has talked about how their story ranks compared to others, and I'd never figured out how they knew these facts until I found this nifty little list. I clicked on that little link, and found myself staring at a story that, at the time of this writing, is sitting on top of the Featured bar of the home page of the site (A Hell of a Time by Aragon, go check it out). Beneath it, Eakin's Hard Reset, which I personally think belongs in the #1 slot and probably was there before Aragon's takeover, but whatever. I scrolled down, noting all of the (obviously well-deserving) stories that made up the third spot, the fourth spot, and so on. Then I reached the seventeenth spot, and stopped, and stared. And also a spit take happened.
Sitting just below A Stitch in Time (again, Eakin! This guy is amazing!), with 554 likes and 4 dislikes, was the story this little post is attached to. My own Absolutely Batty.

I refreshed the page, of course, and waited for the bug to clear out of the system, so I could see what was really number seventeen. And it was still Batty. I did that a few times, and I double-checked the hotel internet I've been using the past few days (YouTube videos are a particular weakness here). Still Batty.
So, congrats, I guess. You guys made this story #17 on the site. Thank you. I'd say more than that, but I feel really tired all of a sudden. I think I'll go out on the balcony of my hotel room and stare at the stars wistfully, and wait for my fingers to stop twitching.
