Literature? · 6:59pm Feb 11th, 2014
Hiya. I've been quiet for a while. Honestly I have been seriously considering just walking out on this whole thing. I feel like I've stagnated, or that the fandom has, or both. But walking away won't solve anything and I still have a little fight left in me.
The Office has decided unanimously to start a new group dedicated to collecting works of exemplary quality. I am one of the "Scrollmasters" of The Canterlot Archives. If you have come across a fic that changed the way you think about literature, send it our way. If you find any that change your life, submit it right now. that is the sort of "Exemplary" we are looking for. Our standards are extremely high though. Myself as a Scrollmaster, for example, will hold every fic I review to a professional standard, that means presentation as well as all those other High-level concerns. Don't feel bad if a fic you submitted or wrote and submitted doesn't make it in, quite a lot will not. But the ones that do will be spectacular indeed.
This is how I'm fighting back. I see it this way: if there is someplace where truely amazing stories can collect, perhaps more people and beginning writers will be exposed to great examples of what fanfiction can be, and this will in turn make us all strive for more.

Just to note: Please read the group rules (found on the group's front page) before submitting stories. Thank you.
