Since the story-specific-blog function is working, it gives me a chance to tell all my Derpy's Human readers what's going on with the story. Over the past couple of weeks, I teased a change in dynamic, which of course I then pulled back. I don't want to mess with the dynamic of Derpy and Karyn Do Stuff. The problem is that there isn't a whole lot of Stuff they haven't Done, at least that I can write about.
So my plan was to start wrapping up the story at 100 chapters.
There are a number of problems with that, though. One is that, if I kept up my pacing, it would end right around the conclusion of Karyn's third year at college, and that's not a good place for the story to end. Another problem is that if I did that, I'd be shoving all the plot in at once, which is not the pace I want to have the story go. In my opinion, a moment like meeting Dinky's father and seeing Derpy's reaction only works because we've spent so many chapters dealing with her just doing her own thing and we know her character.
Therefore, I've decided to go for 150.
That will put us at the end of Karyn's schooling, which works, and give me room to stick in the remaining major plot points that I want to get in with a slow and steady pace. But, it means I need to change things up a bit, and maybe even repeat myself with a new look at an old concept. I might want to do another cooking episode, or go back to the movies, but keep it fresh with a new angle. To that end, I'm going to have some "running theme" concepts after Chapter 90 to structure it a little better.
And what of the future? Am I fooling myself about this end? Will I get to chapter 135 and say, "Well, if Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Sailor Moon can make it to 200 episodes, why can't this story? I don't know. But if I'm an addict, there are worse things to be addicted to than writing slice-of-life.
Anyway, I hope that all of you will continue with me on the journey of a girl and a pegasus.

you suggested once that though Karyn could not fly as a pony, as that uses magic, she could fly as a bird or something that uses aerodynamics rather than magic.
Karyn was offered to visit the Changelings near the Crystal Empire.
Any sports venue will work- though I admit, visiting the mountains would work! She could hide in the snow really..
I'm definitely looking forward to having more chapters. Reading about Derpy and Karyn is my reward for making it halfway through the week.
I'll follow this story until the end, whether that's 150 chapters or 1,500
