2023 Recap · 5:13am January 1st
Well, so much for 2023. Feel like I kept getting my ass kicked over and over with only small moments of reprieve to let me catch my breath. I won’t miss it. But hey, nobody cares and it’s all gone now, so let’s take a look at how things went.

All in all, I come away from this year extremely disappointed. With myself, my work, and my overall success. By and large, metrics are down across everything I did, with more flak and fewer views. To emphasize just how much flak I got, the latest story I published as of the past 12 hours actually brought the average rating down.
This was not a success. I don’t feel like I have much to be proud of and my work seemed to stagnate in quality until just recently, with one or two stories here at the end that I enjoyed. But overall? I sucked.
Next year should see continued investment into my two horror stories, a return to mom-loving, and some one-shots to be had. I won’t guarantee anything because, well…
Who knows if I’ll be any good at it still?
Happy New Year to you. Enjoy a small bit of celebration from our favorite lovebirds.
You’re being too hard on yourself, then again you are your own worst critic.
This year was a no good for me as well and perhaps it is the sane for everyone, we try our best and give our everything to reap the results and perhaps this is not the reward we wanted. Yet we still have to learn and push ourselves forward, we learn, we improve, we become better and we rise to a brighter future.
Keep going forward and strive to better I await for your future published stories and enjoy them to their fullist.
Happy New Year, for a prosperous 2024.
Happy new year and hope the passion remains.
Keep up the good work like you always do!
And the love you create for these ladies is so adorable! Remember that we are here to show support!
I wouldn't pay too much attention to the metrics, as it's really just a measurement of popularity, which roughly just translates to how 'marketable' a fic is. Any usual pairing or fetish will get downvotes without even being read, whereas a well-sculpted fic of fleshed-out OCs probably won't get as much traction as some Octiscratch ship.
Measuring actual quality is a lot trickier and more subjective. I would encourage you to be gentle with your self-criticism - not all new ideas land well or pan out like you expected, but those ideas are what stops Fimfics from becoming rote.
Do you factor all the recap numbers yourself, or is there a way to check that?

Blah. Too much work for my blood. But good on you for the dedication.
the fandom itself continues to become less active in spaces like this because the recent mlp generation just isnt compelling and those who were into the show for friendship is magic have less and less recurring reasons to draw them in, im pretty sure overall readership and views r just down across the board for most everyone
really no idea how to explain how much negativity comes your way tho, your writing is genuinely great, i think this site has a lot of ppl who take personal offense to females who dare to enjoy themselves and each other instead of fixating on cocks all day, a lot of f/f stories seem to get more downvote ratios than they used to
anyway as far as im concerned u wrote some great, sexy lesbian stories this year and i kept a few for my personal schlick library so in my eyes you had another banner year as a great author!!
