Most likely you're an author wondering why on earth I've favorited your ancient April Fools' story about ponies doing something ironic in the present tense. Or maybe you're just a random passerby checking out what kind of twisted person would favorite a story in which █████████████████████? Or could it be that you're an IRL friend, stalking me herescratch that i don't have friends
Anyway, know that I blatantly abuse the favorite system to keep track of everything I've read (n.b. this was before this website had “bookshelves”). In my defense, I only tend to read good stuff. And I can't be the only one doing this, right?
...right?
1354925 Just remember: Your comments make me stronger, so post as many as you like.
1354779 I guess I just like following people who wrote stuff I liked. Yeah, that's it. Maybe I should get a cutie mark in following. It's a bit like stalking, but if the website does it for me, then it's just innocuous following.
Why, though? If I ever find myself wondering what to read (not going to happen in this lifetime, but maybe I'll find some 1UPs), I can just check followed authors for tried-and-true poni goodness.
Also, I love the sight of the unread notifications counter going into four digits, meaning I don't really keep up with new stories. But should I ever earn immortality (preferably with a pair of wings), I might find the time to read your future stuff as well.
You've made a good choice.
Or a bad one. Depends.
Thanks for the watch!
Now, why have you followed me?
