There's a creature with a journalist mentality in Equestria, going around asking various characters for stories about them to share with his people.

But there's something about him that seems a little off, almost like he's hiding something from everyone. Something important.

While Aria and Adagio are at each others' throats after the sirens' defeat at the Battle of the Bands, Sonata is looking forward to Halloween and all the trick-or-treating she plans to do, even if she's stuck wearing a costume that she isn't particularly fond of.

When her friends' constant bickering becomes too much for even her to bear, however, Sonata is determined to heal the rift between them by whatever means necessary.

But enough talk, have at you! For realzies!

A priceless artifact, once possessed by an ancient tribe's chief for purposes unknown, located in what's considered some of the world's harshest terrain, rumored to possess a dark magic with special properties. It goes without saying that Daring Do will cross Death's playground to retrieve it, and it also goes without saying that A.K. Yearling will write about the adventure in a book, even while struggling to make sense of some new found feelings for the adventurer.
