Rules and Regulations
Before you decide to make a voice-reading request for one of your fics, you'll need to make sure that your story follows my few guidelines, or it won't be considered.
I know. Rules suck.
Here they are:
The story should be complete If it isn't, you'll need to give me an estimate as to when it'll be completed. Because I do record each chapter separately, I can begin recording your incomplete fic, but I won't be posting it on YouTube until the entire thing is finished. However, you do have the option of just having me read one chapter of the fic.
The story must be your own I can't accept the fic you request if it isn't yours. I always need to make sure that I have the author's permission. It's just the respectful thing to do.
The story must have at least twice the amount of upvotes as downvotes yes, I know, I kind of hate myself for making this rule, but after much thought I decided it has to be done. If other people didn't enjoy it, then odds are I won't, and if I don't enjoy reading it, it just won't sound good reading it out loud. Just like when you don't enjoy what you're writing, it doesn't come out well.
Story should be under 10, 000 wordslook, I'm not entirely against reading a long story, even out loud. You can totally go ahead and ask me to voice-read for a long fic, just keep in mind that my recording process takes a while. For one thing, I have to read the fic over in my head a few times so that I can familiarize myself with the text. Each chapter will be recorded in separate recordings, too, so I'll get breaks, but each time I make a mistake, I'll have to start over. And on top of all that, I will be standing up the whole time. I'm fine with standing, but the more tired I get, the weaker my voice may get.
No clopfics Can't stress this enough. You can have references to sex, and you can have gore, but if your story has a sexually explicit scene in it, I can not, will not read it out loud. Believe me, I've tried.
So, these are all the rules for now, more may be added in the future. If you want an audio reading of your fic, and your fic follows these limitations, go ahead and throw me a PM and your story will go on my fics-to-be-read list.
369484 during the reading process, I read a fic multiple times before doing it aloud, which means I'll skip small grammatical mistakes.

In that case, I should request Daring Do then. I'll just need to look over everything to make sure there aren't any huge mistakes, lest I become embarrassed
369423 It's not imposing. The 10,000 word rule isn't actually for me, it's for you. The longer the story is, the longer it will take for me to get it done. I stop recording after every chapter, so get breaks, time to get a drink and refresh. I'm just concerned that I won't get it done very soon.

I'd feel like I was imposing tho
369380 okay, but did you read the 10000 words rule? like, all of it? Because it's really not a rule, it's more of a preference
