I'm trepidatious about how things will turn out considering there's a fair bit of explanation going on in the tail end of a story that until now has been all about unknown horror. The hope is that pulling back that veil shows something that doesn't lessen everything else. Then again, I could likely remove some of that info and still hit these general beats.

Just finished the roughest of the rough drafts. Don't know how long it will take to make this presentable, but it's a lot more progress than I expected.

Work has started in earnest. I hope to have it done by April next year at the latest, which would be two years after the last one released instead of ~5 years. It will be released similarly to Pray, Hope and Wander, with several chapters posted daily for a few days.

(This is majorly mopey for a bit, but I promise it's not anything negative about my experiences. It's just more about my feelings, and I end on the positives)

Well, I didn't end up actually writing anything like I said I would ages ago, but I still exist in some sort of manner.

Roughly 26k words, and it took three years of on-again, off-again work, but it's in the final stages of editing.

Unless I drastically change my mind about something or it gets rejected for the format, expect it within the week.

I'd say I hope it will be worth the wait, but I honestly don't want to hype it up. I just want those that have been waiting through however many false starts to know it's coming.

So, been a while, made some progress, but not quite where it needs to be to publish. I may miss posting in time for the spookiest night of the year, but it's coming, honest. First draft is 70-80% complete, and editing shouldn't take much longer than that.
