Hey folks,

As some of you already know, I'm preparing for an overseas deployment to a combat zone. Starting this week I will no longer have a persistent online presence.

I expect to still write stories, and to be able to post stories here and on EqD. However, you're likely to see stories going up in batches, several weeks apart, rather than weekly as they do now.

Two months and sixty-five thousand words later, a random idea I had after playing Skyrim is complete. It is by far the longest story I have ever finished, and I have to say it might just be my favorite.

Those of you following The Wind Thief have probably noticed that the final chapter is taking longer than usual to post. The reason is I've been on the road for business the past three weeks, and only just returned home this weekend. Fortunately I was able to write during my free time, so the next chapter is coming along nicely. Now that I'm back in my writing groove, I expect it to be posted soon. Why write stories? Why write stories about ponies?

I love writing as a hobby. In my professional life I'm a communicator, which means I supposedly have a grasp on the written and spoken word. Writing about ponies is, for me, an enjoyable extension of what I would have to do anyway. The fandom here is incredible; in many ways it surpasses the actual show.
