Spitfire, leader of the famous Wonderbolts, notices Rainbow Dash flying too close during one of their shows and wastes no time in alerting security. Rainbow is dragged off, but not before pulling off an elaborate maneuver that catches the flyer's eye. After the show, the two run into each other again, but this time, security isn't alerted. Instead, Spitfire insists on taking the mare out for a cup of coffee and a talk.

One of her teammates is oddly unhappy about that.

Notes:~~~ A look at same-sex love in the military before 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' was repealed. This is obviously an AU, one that takes a more realistic approach to homosexuality in the military. Also, and I'm surprised by the amount of opposition this received, the Wonderbolts are a military squadron. Yes, they're performers, but they are still a part of Equestria's "Armed Forces", just like the Blue Angels and the Thunderbolts are in the US.
