Fluttershy's plan to reveal Starlight Glimmer as a fraud goes awry when she misses with the bucket of water! Can Sugar Belle, Night Glider, and Party Favor fare any better if they still don't have their cutie marks? What about Starlight's obedient patsy and henchstallion, Double Diamond - will he catch on? And just how much will it take before Starlight completely snaps?

When Braeburn, an up-and-coming star, and Chief Thunderhooves, proud leader of the buffalo tribe, clash during preparations for the upcoming rodeo, only one can walk away the victor! At least, that's what Braeburn claims. And that's precisely what he does, telling the story to Applejack, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and nearly the entire town of Appleoosa! But maybe there's a grain of truth to his tall tale.

When Twilight Sparkle is imprisoned after a heavy-hoofed ponyhunt on the direct orders of Princess Celestia, Rainbow Dash takes it upon herself to rescue her egghead friend from prison. Unbeknownst to her, things are not as they seem in Manehattan, or anywhere in Equestria. As she uncovers the mystery piece by piece, the rest of the famous Elements of Harmony and a few other familiar friends come to her aid. Who controls the strings, and can they be cut in time... or is it already too late? Will friendships of the Mane Six dissolve as they struggle through their greatest trials yet? And just where the hay is Princess Luna? Wake up! It's time to kick some flanks!
