An injury has robbed Rainbow Dash of her flight capabilities, and thus, her ability to rest properly. Hoping to calm her body and mind, she decides to walk the quiet streets of Ponyville, but is unprepared with just who she finds doing something similar. What began as a way to simply wear out her jittery body becomes something entirely different, and she comes to enjoy the night quite a bit more because of a special pony.

Hay, maybe the night is for more than just sleeping, after all.

Honestly, this is just an idea that's been noodling around for awhile, and I wanted to give it a go. So many of my stories feature these two ponies, but until now, I've not touched on exactly how a friendship between them might form and grow. Depending on what my readers think, I may continue this, while also adding a Romance tag. For now, though, it'll simply be a nice one-shot, so enjoy either way.

The trials of the past few years has left everyone with a need to get away for a bit and just kick off their horseshoes, so Frost decided that it would be a good idea to show his friends the world he came from, and some of the wonders it has. Of course, when has anything ever gone completely as planned? Needless to say, hijinks ensue.

For the longest time, I'd considered the word "universe" to be accurate when describing mankind's plane of existence. While I was under no delusions about us being the only sentient race in the cosmos, I, like many others, believed that the way our universe worked and the way physics behaved were the only way things could be done; after all, we had never experienced anything else, and everything we knew about the way our universe worked and the laws of reality revolved around our specific set of physical laws.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, as the case may be), we were very wrong about our choice of how to name our reality: "universe" was largely inaccurate, since there appeared to be more than one...and both forces and creatures considered to be of myth and legend existed in another plane of existence, too far away to ever touch until now.

Life is pretty unpredictable for me, but that alone is the predictable part of it. Pretty early on, I learned that I should expect the unexpected, and enjoy the brief moments of peace when they were there. Such an outlook helped me early on to keep from going crazy with all of the stuff that's happened to us all.

As the years passed though, I found my own source of peace: my closest friends.

My best friends were always there for me, and I for them. We held each other up when we fell below the surface of the sea of life, and offered friendly smiles and listening ears to each other when we needed it most. Even with all the insanity we weathered over the years, we became closer in spite of it...or, perhaps because of it. In a world of hoarding dragons, I may be the only one that cherished a small group of ponies over gold or jewels.

Note: Ponies are considered adolescent/mature at a much younger age than humans (six and fourteen, respectively). I've made an oversight on this, and I believe this explanation will fix that. Captain Diedrick Thompson was a Solar Fleet captain -- the youngest in recorded history. Upon getting caught in a strange magnetic storm while doing a routine patrol within his race's cosmic backyard, he finds himself forcibly relocated in space, with no idea where he is or even when he is. As isolation sets in, he finds that he will need help to figure out just what happened, and if he can find his way back home. Unfortunately, the peace-loving princesses of Equestria won't take kindly to such an imposing person making planetfall.

Note: This story ignores everything after the end of Season 3, including Equestria Girls; this means that Twilight never went to the alternate dimension, but is still an alicorn. All ponies and other beings present are anthropomorphic, meaning they are humanoid in shape but still have hooves, wings, fur, etc. Pony technology is comparable to our modern human technology, with a few differences.

Acceptance is something she feels is forever beyond her reach. She belongs nowhere, and is friend to no one. Living by her cunning and skill alone, a changeling finds her calling in ending the lives of (often innocent) people. Her world is turned upside down when she finds herself summoned by her race's sworn enemy, and is not given the choice to decline. How will her life change? Is this the end, or just the beginning?

Rated T for intense violence, language, murder, and minor gore.

Everything that has a beginning has an end.

It is a lesson we all learn early in life, but some of us, more than others, experience that end sooner than we would wish. The end can put things into perspective, and make us see what is truly important in our lives...who is truly important. When the quantity of time is running out, we may find we must focus on the quality of the time remaining, as well as who that time is spent with.

She's lost, without any idea how or why. Now she's completely isolated on an unknown world with no way to get home...a world she has found to be loud, scary, and rather alien. With only a white rabbit to keep her company, how will a lone pegasus pony survive?

He was an average man in nearly every sense of the term, but his entire life is flipped upside-down when a push for a paycheck turns into something unexpected...something much more. Marooned on an alien world with no known way home, how will he survive a potentially-hostile environment? Afraid, ignorant, and alone, he will be forced to adapt and survive, or seek out help.

This story is a sequel to Twilight's Song

Princess Twilight Sparkle is as eternal as time itself, and yet holds a mortal heart. She knows loss, for she has lost. She knows love, for she has loved. What then, is there left for one who will forever remain?

Setting:
This takes place one-hundred years after the events of the previous story. Twilight is now nearing six-hundred years of age, and yet feels as if time has stood still for her.

Technology has advanced, civilizations had risen and fallen, and yet through it all, she has persevered...mostly.

Note: You will notice that technology has not advanced in the same order as that of humans has, with some advancements completely having been passed over. This is because this is a different world with different rules and a different line of physics and power sources. Keep that in mind. Also, do not expect Twilight to act the same as canon. Such a long time can change everything about who someone is, so keep that in mind and don't come to me shouting "OOC".

With that all taken in mind, enjoy the story.
