Flight...is a magical thing. And yet no unicorn can truly replicate the beauty of a pegasus tearing through the skies upon a pair of majestic wings.

Soarin is approached by Spitfire with a burning question.

Spitfire has lost sight of what she saw in flying. She had betrayed him, a teammate and close friend, for the sake of winning a competition. Confused, she turns to him, and asks him a question that has too many answers:

"Can you remind me of what it means to fly?"

Written at like 1 in the morning. Don't judge; a sudden thought popped into my head and I had to write it down.

A long time ago, Applejack ran away to Manehattan. For a while, it seemed like she would've stayed there. But something changed her mind and she came back to Ponyville.

Now she's come back with her friends, and old memories have surfaced. There are a few things that Applejack dreads about this trip, but what she dreads most is meeting someone again—an old friend.

My entry into Week 1 of EqD's Writer's Training Ground. The prompt: Not everything went as planned when Twilight undid her spell on Fluttershy.

Angel Bunny noticed that Fluttershy hasn't really been herself ever since the vampire fruit bat incident. She's been giving him weird looks, been easier to startle than normal, and at night the cottage just didn't feel right. All could just be side effects of turning into a vampire fruit pony and back, right? Besides, that nightmare is over.

But, when his friends start to be suspicious and dead animals turn up drained of blood, Angel starts to doubt his owner.

Could Fluttershy be a vampire?

Poetry is something that unites all species, a form of art that can bring the hearts of all together. Ponies, griffons, dragons...all have some form of it.

Poetry, put simply, is life in written form.

Derpy hears mean voices in her head, voices telling her to go away...but she doesn't want to go.

Everypony affiliates that name with a pony who's brave, fearless, and just downright gutsy. But what most don't know is that beneath that confident front lies a small filly who still cries over an event that happened seventeen years ago.

Perhaps now it's time for her to go.

Octavia is a normal pony by most standards, save her talent on the cello. She goes through her life as simply as she can, living in Ponyville with her roommate Vinyl Scratch. Life is good, and nothing breaks that harmony. Nothing, that is, until the Templars got involved. Octavia has a music box that has been in her family for generations, but when a spectator tries to kill her after a show, it's obvious that it's not a normal box.

Having now faced death in the face, Octavia has but one choice: to join the Assassins and save the world.
