So, started my new job today. It was good, I like it, the co-workers are nice... jeans aren't a fucking requirement, so bonus for that...

So, why the title? my roomie's gotten fucked over. Hard. And there's almost no recourse. We're so screwed that... well, let me put it this way. No Christmas for us. Probably no Thanksgiving, either. Nearly obliterated my processor to boot. Whoo, I'm 30 as of about... 3 and a half hours from the time of this blog post.

I'm 30 with a back injury that I may never recover from, being paid a pittance of what I ought to be, with no benefits. I have to work a 10 hour shift tomorrow in this condition, and then I get to come home to an empty house, because my roommate will be in friggin' Vermont with a friend of his for work-related bunk.
