Spike asks Rarity a question she is 100% unprepared to answer.

Takes place several years into the future. Established Spike/Rarity. Could be considered a oneshot follow-up to either “Of Age” or “How to Woo Your Lady in 9 Easy Steps”, but requires no background knowledge of my previous fics.

I rewatched Season 4 this week, and after Inspiration Manifestation, my personal ban on writing fanfiction disintegrated and this oneshot somehow happened. Consider this a brief look into Rarity's state of mind after this episode's main events. No shipping goggles required, though you're welcome to bring them along if you wish.

Rarity and Spike do lunch every week. It's purely platonic, of course. Just two friends meeting to chat over a mid-day meal, somehow always shortly after something noteworthy has happened around town...

...Odd how that works.

My mini-series. Hoping to explore new episodes from the perspective of Spike and Rarity. Friendshippy. Or romance-shippy, if you've got shipping goggles on a bit tighter. A mix of humor or drama, depending on what each new episode calls for. Unrelated to my other fics. May have occasional appearances by other characters.

Rarity has a rather unladylike moment of panic when she thinks Spike has moved away without telling her. Twilight is amused.

Short oneshot that just sort of fell out of my head this evening.

When Rarity writes to Princess Celestia inquiring after how dragons age, she gets a plea for help in reply. A war is brewing, and Princess Celestia thinks Rarity's the one to stop it. Now, still completely uncertain what her feelings for Spike are or if they're even plausible, she's off to meet with his distant relatives to negotiate a truce between the dragons and the sea serpents before the world gets caught up in their destructive clash.

Unrelated to "How to Woo Your Lady" or my other fics.

As Spike pines after Rarity, he remembers a bedtime story Princess Celestia told him long ago, called the Ballad of Firebrand and Olivine. The ballad was about a dragon and a pony falling in love, and the consequences that love brought upon them.

Rarity writes a diary entry, puzzling out her thoughts and feelings after being kidnapped by a rampaging dragon.
