This story is a sequel to A Day in the Life

Butterscotch, the luckiest and most unlucky pony at the same time. He's a hit with the mares, but only because they feel sorry for him. Stallions hate him for his successes with the mares, but secretly pester him day and night about how he charms them. What's a poor stallion like Butterscotch going to do, especially when he gets something all the other stallions want?

Big Gala is a mare of few words. She's a hard worker, helping her brother run the farm as well as cooking and cleaning up after her family.

Sugarsnap is her best friend. She's a shy pony who only gets chatty around Gala and makes a living working at the local sweet shop.

Thundercloud is the third in the group. She's a pegasus who all the stallions admire. However, she does tend to suffer from stage fright.

Three mares, all best friends in a town of stallions. How do they make it through the day?

A beautiful meteor shower was the last thing anyone expected to cause the Blackout. Not a power outage, but a series of deaths caused by an unknown killer. The bodies were recovered covered in some weird black sticky material and saliva. Witnesses claimed it was a monster with large white eyes, rows and rows of dagger like teeth and an outrageously long tongue.

It was also the same time another entity appeared. Another being of darkness, but this one benevolent. It fought against the monster, defending those caught in the fight. Official orders were to arrest them on sight, given by Princess Luna.

The entity called herself the Mysterious Mare Do Well. The monster called himself Venom.

About two zebras madly in love

Set to the finale of Fantasia, this is my take on a pivotal moment in Equestria's history. The first part is The First Nightmare Night, where Princess Luna under the guise of Nightmare Moon attempts to perform an arcane ceremony to give her the power to defeat Celestia.

The second is The Sun Princess, where Celestia defeats her sister and restores the balance between night and day. After the deed is done, she is crowned princess of all Equestria.

Part one is set to A Night on Bald Mountain and Part two is set to Ave Maria.
