PromissaFidel has taken it upon herself to produce a reading of OTTB right here.
I gotta say, to hear your own words being read by someone else is a surreal experience. Shots of doubtful anxiety and joyful anticipation run through your body as you click the play button. But I can say after hearing the introduction read, I was not only relieved that I got through it, but warmly pleased with how it was done.
A beautifully talented brony composer wrote this faithful testament to oustanding classical arrangments, inspired by the "April 13" chapter of OTTB.
Please give this a listen, even if you're not a classical nut as I am. My mere sophomoric words are doing it injustice as the only way to appreciate its gorgeous sounds is to immerse yourself in its atmospheric embrace, heart as much as ears.
Time to get back to hackin' away at the keys. Now where'd I put that...
Ah, here it is!
*Dumps Old Hermes Typewriter on desk*
*Blow off dust*
*cough* Dear Celestia, I *cough* oughta *cough* dust this thing. *COUGH*
I think I'mma add three more and call it a week long break.
I can't brain today. I have the dumb.
So after the events that unfolded with this new update, and reading the comments of my keenly observant readers, I decided to add some appropriate tags to OTTB. Coincidentally, Wanderer D wrote a a blog post addressing the topic, so it was like a sign from Celestia to actually put some thought into labeling this crazy, loco, linear, improvisational, chunk of a story. Hope this clears up some confusion and concern!
...and it was SO AWESOME! /)^3^(\
And, I have been assigned the task of writing a review of the brony scene for the "Bronies of Phoenix" meetup group, which is super exciting! And the best part is...the review will be featured on Equestria Daily, along with some amazing pictures taken at the event! So be on the look out sometime next week for the review by yours truly and the pictures of creative cosplayers and pony pandemonium!!
Some people have brought up that it would be appropriate to add a "Sad" tag to the story since it does contain many sad elements. I had originally left it out it for two reasons in particular:
1) I felt "Slice of Life" would be enough to encompass they entirety of the story elements.
2) I have a feeling that most readers won't touch a "Sad" story for fear it would become way too sentimental until it becomes more comical than sad.
That's pretty cool!
