This story is a sequel to Love is Power II: Crash and Burn

In the aftermath of the vicious attack by the deranged unicorn Torero, Twilight is transported to the heart of the Everfree Forest, a land not explored in thousands of years. Her friends join together to rescue her. But nothing can prepare them for what is truly lurking behind those ominous trees.

On what began as simply another day in the life of Twilight Sparkle, one near and dear to her becomes fairly ill. She calls on veterinarian Fluttershy for aid. Though she may not be prepared for what her friend has to say.

I got the idea for this story last year when I had to put two of my cats to sleep.

A stranger is a friend you haven't met. So many ponies had told her that through the years, Rainbow Dash started believing it, placing absolute faith in ponies she knew nothing about. She never questioned that policy. On a night out with her friends, she meets an enticing stallion who teaches her that trust should be earned.

It's been one year since Twilight's and Fluttershy's lives changed. They have become inseparable. Some ponies even refer to them as 'the perfect couple'. However, after some time, Twilight begins acting... differently. Fluttershy fears Twilight may be reconsidering their relationship. Now she must find a way to save their falling romance before it crashes.

The carriage sped through the town, coming upon the innocent young Apple Bloom quickly. An instant before death claimed her, she was rescued by a scaly purple hero. The celebration was short-lived as disaster struck once more. She knows not who she is, where she is, or how she came to be how she is. The ones closest to her are now as strangers. Will she ever fully recover, or will the bruise forever spoil this little apple?

A fire of unknown origin begins in the Everfree forest. Quickly, it spreads to the home of the timid pegasus, Fluttershy. She manages to rescue all of her animals, but one. She reaches for a small white rabbit as the supports on the cottage go, and she is rescued by Twilight Sparkle. Her home is gone, and has probably taken her best friend with it. The world has brought poor Fluttershy down. Can Twilight help her get back up?

Fluttershy has a problem. She is in love with one of her best friends, and has been for quite some time. She wishes every day to suck up all of her fears, and bleed her heart out to this mare. But she is too afraid. She may find the perfect opportunity, however, as a new tradition is begun in Ponyville. Perhaps if she cannot speak the words, she can sing them in Ponyville's approaching talent show.

On an average day in Ponyville, Fluttershy receives a visit from Prince Blueblood, who seeks a relationship with the kind mare. Fluttershy agrees, and likewise attempts to aid the young stallion with his problems involving romance. But, as time moves on, she realizes that change may not have been his intention after all. And his true nature is revealed. Will Flutterhy's friends be able to change things in time, or will Fluttershy forever be entrapped by the way he lies?
