A strange squirrel shows up near the edge of the Everfree one night, and Fluttershy just happens to pass by. It turns out that he has something to say... sort of.

Someone left the wrong door open 'upstairs'. Someone else, who wasn't supposed to be there in the first place, got into the room that houses the controls for Equestria's basic fundamentals of existence, A.K.A. the rules of logic and physics.

This won't end well.

Why did I write this?

A doorway opened in the wall beyond walls,
the space beyond being naught but halls within halls.
A stranger stepped out and then brushed off his shirt,
checked for his hat and then put on a smirk.
The world he did see, unfamiliar at best,
such a wonderful grounds for his new toys to test.
A jeweled shield in one hand and card box in the other,
the thoughts of possibilities caused him to shudder;
all the world around him heard the chaos knell,
for this stranger was looking for a new Story to Tell.

Takes place before Discord's release.

The powerful witch Thaegan and her thirteen children were all killed in the righteous fight for Deltora... granted, they weren't fighting to free it. However, like in many other universes and worlds, some beings don't simply vanish on death.

Now, Thaegan and her children find themselves in the midst of a massive nest of shape-shifting creatures and must figure out how to deal with the circumstances. Are they welcome in the hive? How will her kids take this turn of events? How will the hive's unique resident take to having new guests? And what will they do, now that they have come back to life?

It's been several months since King Sombra was defeated. Since then, Shining Armor and Princess Cadence have been presiding over the Crystal Kingdom, and quite happily so. However, a message arrives one day from Princess Celestia requesting Shining Armor to come back to Canterlot as soon as possible.

On arrival, he was informed of the problem immediately: there've been reports in the castle of a strange being roaming the hallways and bedrooms. Objects and guards have begun to disappear, and there have been sounds coming from the walls. Princess Celestia called upon Shining Armor because of one detail common across all eye-witness reports; even though the only thing anypony ever caught of it was a glimpse, they all reported it to be covered in a familiar form of black chitin...
