I'll keep this as short as I can.

My conundrum is about reading to improve one's writing. My problem is that I can't seem to get interested in anything outside of my "comfort zone" of the kinds of books that I like to read. I prefer the action/military/espionage genre of writing by authors like Tom Clancy, Robert Ludlum, and Brad Thor, to name a few.

I can't stray from that specific genre, and I really don't want to discover anything new. I'm comfortable with what I like.

It's currently 12:00 midnight as I write this, and I'm both exhausted and slightly intoxicated. No surprise there.
