Particle Physics and Pony Fiction Experimentalist
This week the world of British science communicators has been buzzing with talk about the adventures of Tim Peake.
From a global perspective, this is not exactly newsworthy. Tim is a European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut, who is boldly going where—err—some two hundred people have gone before and starting a six month mission on the International Space Station.

What would have happened if Rainbow Dash had never done her sonic rainboom?
The Cloudsdale Courier would have had to find something else to fill the front page on a summer no-news day.
That was a suitably awesome finale to the season. Great to revisit the sonic rainboom and Starswirl’s time travel spell (this time with multiple epic pony wars), and learn something about Starlight Glimmer’s history.
Altogether it has been a busy season, both on the show, and in the real world.
