Yet there’s usually only one piece that is known for being unfinished. When it comes down to it, the notable unfinished works are often ones done in the twilight of the creator’s life, often things they were working on when they died.

Well Double Magi managed to works it's way up into the featured box last night (1/5/2018) and is still their right now. That's pretty awesome and something that I never expected to have happen. I'm not one for adding featured dates to descriptions, but I figured a little crowing here wouldn't be out of place.

I keep finding that I want to talk more about this story, so I thought I would write up some longer notes to go along with it. I hope you don’t mind.

The story itself is about 60% different from what I first came up with. The core idea was always the same, Mary had been in Equestria for a year and found the Clarinet, but so much else changed along the way. The original plan didn’t even involve Canterlot or even Lyra.

It's a silly question, I know. I've had an interesting idea inspired/borrowed from one of the better Buffy episodes. This isn't a human in Equestria story, but it might turn into a bit of a send up of a couple things. The problem is comedy isn't quite my thing and this would need more then casual humor. So, I wouldn't mind talking with other writers who are fans of both shows. Might even be able to get this idea of the ground.

Just wanted to say that put in the edits for Misperceptions, if you are so inclined to read the updated version.

Also, things have been moving forward on the next story. I think I finally got a good vibe for what I'm doing and I think I fixed a few of the major plot problems. It feels like it's finally starting to come together in this case and hopefully you might see it being posted soon.

I've been writing up a storm of late, but not quite where I had expected all of it to go. I'm still working on "Summers Past"--still planed to be the direct sequel to "Misperceptions"--but it's taking forever to settle down. I've written about 10k words that have put aside for now. Lots of good ideas but not quite right just yet, the problem is keeping the balance between the events of the present and the past, and the past plays a major part in this story. Expect lots of flashbacks.
