Today we take a break from linguistics to inform you that:

Daffodils is poisonous to horses - they would avoid them in nature and vomit it out if eaten.

Dandelions can also be potentially harmful to horses if not prepared correctly*.
Normal horse feed usually consists of dried grasses and legumes e.g. clover/alfalfa ('hay').

*Due to mycotoxin (mould) commonly growing on the surface of colonizing crops/pioneer species.
