So I'm a jeweler. It's what I've done for a living the last 10 years. Over the last three months I've slowly started getting my home studio better equipt in order to venture into the world of self-employment. I've have my watch repair bench up an running for a while now, but my jewelry bench is just now getting back to a functioning condition. I have a bit left to go, but in a week or two I should be all systems go.

I thought some of you would find this video interesting. I like the idea that ponies cultivate the woods around them to harvest from. It gives the Everfree a bit more depth, to think this may be the only wild woods they've ever seen.

I've noticed Equestria is missing two festivals. There really should be a harvest festival. They're still a largely agrarian society. Shortly before Running of the Leaves, there should be a celebration for getting all the food in. Not only is it a chance to unwind after all the hard work of harvest season, but it's also a good way to eat the last of the fresh food that will spoil soon. (side note: I would also expect to see some canning bees in the days before.)

2 chapters are ready for publish, started on the last chapter just now. I will have the 3 chapters published by Christmas.

I moved the Belgian yeast batch into a secondary, and added fining agents to both batches. Fining is a catch-all term for something that makes the cider/beer/wine more clear / less cloudy. Mostly it's cosmetic, though it will remove unwanted yeast flavor too. Photos here.

The English will stay in the conical fermenter until I have the Belgian in bottles.
