I've been searching for a slice-of-life "realistic" romance fic dealing with sexuality and coming out, and yours fit the bill just fine! Looking forward to where it goes next. I'm curious as to what happened with Toby, though I highly suspect it won't be pleasant^^
And RD and Rares do make for an interesting pair. I especially like how you've portrayed Rarity. She feels... cozy to read about, for lack of a better word. Very mature and sensible. It's nice to see lonliness being portrayed by a clinging sense of longing, instead of the usual despair or desperation you usually see in these types of stories. I find her pretty easy to identify with.
On a very minor side note, I've noticed that you tend to substitute "mares" with "mare's" occasionally. Might wanna keep your eyes on that ;)
