Princess Luna's fall a thousand years ago was a catastrophic event. Most of the history about that moment has been lost to time, or intentionally erased. There is one group, however, that holds all the history of Equestria in its halls. It lies within The Shades, an ancient extremists organization that believes it has the power to change Equestria's destiny comes back to haunt the royal sisters. A colt, known as Zane Sparkspur has the innate power to read ponies' minds. He's established as Princess Luna's student and sent on a mission to save Equestria. When he discovers a new element that was used by Princess Luna herself, the fate of Equestria could change at his leisure. Apparently the Elements of Harmony aren't the only powerful magical force in the land.
