When he doesn't get the answer he was expecting, things get a bit out of hand.

Twilight loves Rainbow Dash, and she plans to tell her as such in a typical Twilight fashion — through the wonder of science. But when Rainbow Dash doesn't react in the way she was expecting, it leaves her feeling heartbroken; it then falls to Starlight Glimmer to pick up the pieces, as well as make Dash realise the truth.

I know the whole 'copper and tellurium' joke has been done to death, but I wanted to do my own take on it. And then there's the fact I've never actually written any TwiDash before, despite constantly going on about how I think it is the best ship.

So, I decided to rectify that.

When Button Mash thrashes somepony in online multiplayer, he is quick to gloat about it. When the pony in question says that they could easily track him down, he challenges them to do exactly that; he even bets them a hundred bits that they won't.

His opponent says they will, but Button isn't worried; after all, it's not like they will actually go through all the effort of tracking him down, right?

This story is a sequel to The People's Republic of Twilightlicious

One year has passed since Twilight Sparkle returned from Twilightlicious, and she is continuing to spread the magic of friendship. After taking Starlight Glimmer under her wing, her visits to her old nation have grown further and further apart, as she takes the time to teach her new student of the joy of friendship.

When news of a Diamond Dog army camping in the Everfree Forest reaches Canterlot, it warrants a full-scale response from the Equestrian military. Furthermore, with Rainbow Dash being pressed into action alongside the Wonderbolts, the rest of Twilight's friends also volunteer to enter the fray.

When the time comes to attack, it quickly becomes apparent that - instead of Diamond Dogs - another army has taken over the area — an army which is far more technologically advanced than Equestria's. An army that, should it so choose, could destroy the entire planet ten times over.

It's probably a good thing, then, that Twilight happens to be friends with the man who leads it. And so it was that everypony returned home, safely under the impression that war had been averted.

They were wrong.

When Twilight learns of a strange new town which has suddenly appeared in Equestria, she decides that it warrants further investigation. So off she goes, dragging Starlight Glimmer along with her; a great opportunity for a friendship lesson.

It's not long before they both start to wish that they'd stayed in Ponyville.
