The dreams started three months ago, maybe? He forgets. All he knows is that they continue. That they consume her every waking moment, that they erode her hold on life and on him. He fears the dreams Lyra has of the Nameless City, and he fears the light in her eye as she talks of it and it's shadowed inhabitants.

A grab bag of sorts--stories inspired by conversations, scraps of music and poetry, the look in someone's eyes. Impressions. Sometimes they will intersect, and sometimes not. The world's a big place, after all.

(I write these as sort of catharsis, therapy, etc. So they update in bits and pieces.)

Shining Armor learns that life is hard and that he is not what he thought he was when he accompanies some friends into Tall Tale whilst a cadet on leave.

Rarity is moving up in the world. Her noble House, the long gone House of Belle, has been restored by royal decree and given to her as a reward for services rendered to the crown. After many adventures, Rarity and Dash are heading to Canterlot for a life of leisure and gentility. But not all is well. Rainbow, injured in past adventures, harbors feelings that wait to be released. Bitterness grows in the dark places of the heart, and though she is happy for her spouse, Rainbow's dreams were stolen from her by misfortune. Nothing can change that. Rarity receives everthing... and Rainbow? Perhaps she receives nothing for her efforts, in the end. It'll depend.

Applejack is fed up with Rainbow, who is back from the Wonderbolts. She can't even place her hoof on it, but she's ticked. Rainbow won't help enough. She's alone in the orchard, and Celestia alone knows where Rainbow is. There's a whole list of reasons, really, and Applejack is just sick of counting them. And so she goes searching.

Rarity moves to Canterlot. Rainbow joins the Wonderbolts. Fluttershy and Twilight are shut-ins, to an extent. The friends remain so, but they have lost some of the freshness of their connection. Rarity, in her new home, invites all of her dearest friends to join her in the ancient city. Twilight struggles with her attraction to Rarity, long a secret, while another pony's plan comes to fruition.

When Celestia went on sabbatical into the west, she promised Twilight it would be only a couple of months. A year and a half later, the sun resists control, the country is in ruins, and her teacher is lost in the wilds. Twilight has become the apostate, her faith in her teacher and her teachings waning. In the wake of tragedy, her resentment blossoms into fury and she vows that something must be done. Shadows gather around Canterlot, and old things that should not have been awakened are on the move. The Student goes west, her hope restored by friendship and righteous fury.

The night, at long last, is passing.

Joining the Wonderbolts means a lot of things. It means fame, glory, honor. Sometimes, it means simply... flying home alone.

Seven stories, all connected by geography, time, and theme. A storm is coming out of the Everfree, and it sets the stage for seven ponies to think. Or not to think, as they choose. To learn or to run. Or just to be quiet and to know.

Sombra and Fluttershy are perfect for each other in every single conceivable way. He's a Dark Lord, and she's an adorable yellow pegasus who is the embodiment of goodness and purity. He loves Crystals and the enslavement of free ponies. She loves adorable critters.

They go on a wonderful vacation.
