My life as a boy wasn’t the best.
My dad made my days anything but blessed.
So, I was shocked when fate unfurled
A confidante from another world.

Yes, this is all written in rhyme.
I stepped it up a notch this time.

You Won’t Understand This… thus the challenge of understanding is presented to you: the reader. Underneath the abstract style is a very concrete plot that the keen eye will be able to detect. But the story is only a piece of this work. In order to fully enjoy this composition, you have to toss out everything you know about conventional fanfiction and read it with an open mind. Only then will you be able to experience the story to its fullest extent.

AN: You get only three hints before starting. 1. You will be diving into the consciousness of Twilight Sparkle. 2. This is my tribute to William Faulkner’s style. 3. Think of this as a puzzle.

There is a bar in Ponyville run by Berry Punch that the locals love to go to. Some come to hang out while others come to forget their sorrows. There is a small flat-top piano in the corner of the bar. Every night at nine, a pony sits at that piano and plays until the bar closes. These are the audio logs of that pony, Staccato Diva.

Sleepy Head is an Earth pony that sleeps throughout the day but has trouble sleeping at night. So it was only a matter of time before Princess Celestia came to him with a job: keep Princess Luna company. Sounds easy enough, but as Sleepy Head interacts with the Queen of Night, he discovers secrets that will change his and Luna's life forever.

On the outside, he's just a baby dragon. But in his mind he's the greatest detective in Equestria. He's Spike Steel, private eye. This is a pony adaptation of a comic by Bill Watterson in "Calvin and Hobbes." This is where i got the idea, and some of the lines.
