Up in the mountains above the crystal empire two ponies enjoy the end of their first year together.

This was honestly a challenge for me, I've never tried to write someone else's OC especially one with limited prior exposure, but despite a host of life events getting in the way I got it done and kind of fell in love with the little world I tried to make for these two, I hope I did your OC justice Enchante and I hope you'll let me expand on it. Life has a way of waiting until you feel like you're on top of the world before pushing you off the ledge, but what doesn't kill you either makes you stronger... or succeeds in the second attempt.

Chris was transported to a strange new world 3 years ago and has been struggling to find his place in it while battling insecurity. Admist it all he was content with his life if he still felt out of place. But when it's all torn from him he'll find motivation in his sorrow and strength in a new purpose and new friends.

In the Barrier Lands there are things one simply does not do, for those who ignore the status quo there is usually two options, death or imprisonment. A marked few are allowed to choose a third option, servitude to the population is the preferred legal term, many call it the graveyard shift. These ponies are tools to an end, expendable; but like any tool it can become an indispensable asset. With a first deployment survival rate of 17% and a merit based system that offers privilege with rank, we follow a small squad as they deal with their day to day lives on the edge of Equestria.
