This is a simple and short rework of Wingfried von Katerinburg's backstory from Equestria at War Mod.

I always felt that Wingfried's backstory was lacking at best, especially so considering the fact that the mod itself doesn't even give us a reason why he started hating ponies, which is the entire point of his character.

Now I am not blaming the people who wrote the original backstory, considering that the writer in charge of it probably had to do a dozen other Bios and couldn't spare that much attention to a certain character's background.

So, instead of making him a cheap two-dimensional villian that was designed specifically to be an annoying loser who was needlessly evil for no reason at all, I instead decided to give him an actual tragic backstory that would give him a reason why he is doing what he is going right now.

After her meeting with Wingfried von Katerinburg, Twilight Sparkle has decided to go to her chambers, with the hopes of dreamless sleeping, having no idea what she is about to witness.

She will soon learn that there's much she didn't know about the current state of affairs of the world.

This story is a sequel to [EAW] Maar's Plan

Already busy with the ongoing Great War, Princess Twilight Sparkle of Equestria has received a letter, delivered by an unholy abomination that broke into her room through her window. The letter was supposedly from Wingfried von Katerinburg, the 'Führer' of Hellquill, who proclaimed to her that his genocide against all ponies in Griffonia was imminent, and the only way for her to save them was to come to Hellquill and negotiate a settlement personally.

And as the news of the massacres started coming out of Hellquill itself, Twilight knew she had to rush. Unsure how to negotiate, she soon would know there's more to Wingfried's actions than what meets the eye.

It's been two years since Maar, The Griffonian God of Death's Campaign has started. As more nations continue to fall under its control, Maar continues to work on his nightmarish "masterpiece", which will help it launch the global conquest. It would be Edler von Wingenberg, the head of SG, and the right hand of Wingfried von Katerinburg, who would be the first to witness this new "invention".

This story is a sequel to [EAW] Revelation in Hellquill

After a year of upheaval, both Strawberry Duchy and Feathisia Duchy were now fallen under the control of the forces of the Griffonian Empire ruled by the Imperial Regent Archon Eros. In an accordance with the personal order from Archon Eros himself, the Imperial forces took great priority in capturing Duke Gerlach of Feathisia and Duchess Gabriela Eagleclaw of Strawberry Duchy alive no matter the cost. And even before the Empire could fully reclaim their respective duchies, both the Duke and the Duchess were captured in a secret hideout located within the remaining territories of eastern Feathisia by the Imperial agents. While expecting a severe punishment by the agents, Duke and Duchess were shocked when they learned that Archon Eros was waiting for them in the Imperial Capital of Griffenheim. A week later, they arrived in Griffenheim under heavy escort.

With Hellquill top command completely appalled by the mysterious incident two weeks prior, the irritated General Kamphaus has decided to pay a visit to his Führer in his castle with the intent of "settling" their differences.

This story is a sequel to [EAW] Grover VI's Unexpected "Meeting"

When 'Führer' Katerinburg ordered the dispatch of an excavation team to the Griffonstone, he only expected some ancient relics that might help him revision the Griffonian History to fit his world view.

And even though they found the relics he wanted, they also discovered a rather inexplicable artifact, that was unique in countless ways. Initially, Archeologists considered it to be the “forerunner of a discovery of a new civilization” … And that was before they discovered the potentially supernatural side of it.

The strange aurora of the box did not go unnoticed, and it soon attracted the interest of archeologists. And when the authorities ordered the transfer of the discovery to Hellquill, things got peculiar real fast. One of the agents they send to recover the artifact died only a couple of hours after arriving in Hellquill, and the other one went insane soon after. Wingfried von Katerinburg orders an urgent meeting to be held over the mysterious relic, simply having no idea what he is about to cause…

The Regent Archon Eros learns that the (very) young Emperor Grover VI is in a "diplomatic meeting" with Wingfried von Katerinburg, the so-called 'Führer' of Hellquill. Archon Eros already knows about the untrustworthy and eccentric personality of Wingfried, and when he learns that not only he is in the royal palace, but also in a "meeting" with the young and naive Emperor, he is instantly overwhelmed by fear. Meanwhile, Wingfried von Katerinburg has already started applying his plans for the young and naive Emperor...

Recently, Hellquill has been sending thousands of volunteers to the Changeling Lands to fight against the pony forces of Equestria in the Great War. 'Führer' Katerinburg explains to fellow Griffons through a furious speech why such move was necessary. Explaining to them the "true nature" of the Harmony, and the threat of "International Pony Menace".
