You know, I could probably write anything in these things. A lot of the things I'm counting are kind of subjective, and I don't get the sense that anybody's fact-checking me even on the ones with very unambiguous truth values.

13 is the number of cupcakes that Mrs. Cake was only once foolish enough to give Twilight.

13 is the number of episodes in the shortest season to date.

You get two derivations of 13 because both are rehashing old territory.

14 is the number of colors in the Six Manes, as it were. And Dashie hogs almost half of them. The nerve!

15 is the number of CMC-centric episodes to date.

16 is, frankly, far more than I can do justice to. Born of the purest prime, it is surpassed in beauty only by 4 and 65,536. Why would we need to attach ponies to it to make it special?

But I fear that I must anyway, so let us all recognize that in the Reflections arc, there are 16 ponies who both appear and have their doubles appear (as we easily observe that being doubles is a reciprocal relationship).

17 was the day of September in 2011 when season 2 of MLP started.

This may seem like an arbitrary choice born of grasping at straws for something to say, but September 17th, 2011 was my first new episode after I joined the fandom, so it holds a special place in my heart. Plus I was grasping at straws, because you know how I tend to struggle with primes. You can't trust primes; they're all so selfish.

18 is the number of stars that shall (did) aid in her escape, assuming you take an agnostic view as to whether the stars in question are in the sky or on Twilight's butt.

I would use the number of times she will bring about night at some point, but she's going to be doing that eternally, so it's a bit beyond the scope of this countdown.

19 is the number of episodes containing Princess Luna plus the number containing Nightmare Moon.

"Luna Eclipsed" I decided does not count as an episode containing Nightmare Moon.

20 is the number of shapes in the cutie marks of the Main Six (one lightning cloud, three butterflies, three balloons, three apples, three diamonds, seven stars).
