After receiving a mysterious vision, Princess Luna writes an urgent letter to, recently crowned, Princess Twilight Sparkle sending her and her friends to Las Pegasus to investigate an abnormal outbreak of nightmares in the city's populace. However, when Spike receives the magically sealed scroll containing the letter, Twilight's not there to read it. In fact, only Fluttershy is available to deliver the scroll to Twilight while she and the others are vacationing in the very town currently being plagued.

Will she be able to get this important message to Twilight before it's too late? What does this city of high-stakes and low-lifes have in store for the Mane six? Just who are these six shallow stallions, anyway?

And what in Equestria does Discord have to do with all of this?
