Bulbasaur

Who, me? I'm just your run-of-the-mill user of FimFiction! No exceptional stories here. I think I hear my word processor calling. Sorry, gotta go!

Hey guys! I know it's been a while since I last put up a blog. You might be wondering what I was doing in the meantime (all the 0 readers of my blog :P). Well, I graduated back in June and am now working on a graduate degree. It's really less glamourous than I thought, although it's a nice feeling to be respected everywhere.

I hate Fortran · 4:00am Jul 16th, 2015

I remember just a few weeks back I hated Matlab. I am now actually in love with Matlab since I'm starting to work with Fortran 77, a language that came out closer to the start of WWII than the present day.
The language was designed to be used with cards and tapes, although I really doubt the program I'm editing was ever designed that way, because the thing is 11000+ lines long... oh yeah the equivalent of one line is one card. Fun.

Read it Later (499) + Notes on Remembrance Day · 3:17am Nov 12th, 2014

Before we get to my inaugural review, a few notes on Remembrance Day. It was quiet here. Usually some soldiers do a 21-gun salute with cannons on campus, but this year, it seems they forwent it. I guess it scared a bunch of people who were studying last year, and then the complaints rolled in.

Read it Later (500) · 5:02am Nov 4th, 2014

Some time ago, my Read Later list reached 500 stories.

These had been accumulating over the course of a year, and I figured it was high time I started to do something about it. And the only to do something about it... Well, of course, to read it!

Drunk · 3:04am Oct 12th, 2014

Sure, why not. Dash clinked her glass against Rarity's. “To dear friends, now and forever,” she repeated, then tossed back the shot.

Good stuff, Grey Pegasus. She squinted her eyes as the freezing liquid burned its way down her throat, and let out a shaky breath. Beside her, Rarity underwent a similar set of convulsions.

“Oh my, that's stronger than I remember.” She gave another little shake, her coat rubbing against Dash's as she did. “Another?”

My thoughts on Transformers 4 · 11:06am Jul 5th, 2014

For the first half of the movie, I was seething at "It's 65 million years old, as determined by carbon dating". For the second half, my mind was going rainbow dash rainbow dash rainbow dash rainbow dash.

Meh. I found it really difficult to suspend disbelief because I watched it in Beijing, where people were supposedly in a panic. Ah well.

All told, I give this movie a rainbow dash out of rainbow dash.

At BronyCan... · 1:07pm Aug 28th, 2013

Last weekend, I was at BronyCan in Richmond, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia. I came in not knowing what to expect, but the convention blew me away, and I even daresay that I had fun.

(Fun?) (Fun!) (Fun) (Fun?) (Fun!) <-- Can't believe con-goers spontaneously decided to make this a thing
