After the reformation of Discord, the Equestrian changeling Midnight Masquerade is given the responsibility of reforming as many of his fellow shapeshifters as possible. His first real rescue in weeks of error finally comes along, only to be followed by a voracious foe bent on their demise. The changelings will need to rally every possible ally they can if they want to survive.

This story is a sequel to The Unforeseen

This is a retelling of the Unforeseen, but set in the universe from the Season 5 Finale in which Chrysalis has conquered Equestria. You don't really need to have read the original story, but it might help.

Just hatched from his cocoon, a changeling joins the ranks of some of the greatest troops in Chrysalis's army. The Queen has chosen him for a great quest, but an unseen force has other plans. With a voice in his head filling him with ideas contradictory to what Chrysalis wants, the soldier will need to place his trust carefully.

Follow the story of an officer in the Hive military as she is tasked to assure the death of a changeling intruder. This stranger's power frightens and intrigues his executioner, leaving her to question her loyalties until she can discover the root of this changeling's dark abilities.

When the Crystal Heart was put back into its rightful place, the Empire seemed to be at peace once again. Except for a single Crystal Pony on the outskirts of the capital city. Even with Sombra gone, this pony still suffers from terrible depression and amnesia. This one Crystal Pony has been suffering for weeks now, but the truth behind this unique disease is about to come to light...

Changelings. Not everyone wants to be one... but when you come out of the cocoon you don't have a choice. This is the story of a changeling who dared to try to escape, and failed. When his life hung by a thread, he was spared by the mysterious guard at the entrance. Quite the admirable guard, you say? "Not at all" say the changelings. That guard has always been a little "off." He has been charged with several accounts of murder, heresy, conspiracy, and blasphemy... all in the same week! But what does that say about the life he saved?

Don't get intimidated by the large number of words per Act... there are chapters within each Act that will work like stopping points if you're a slow reader or on a tight schedule.

This story goes along with The Changeling Chronicles. Reading that fic is completely optional, and can be done before or after reading The Unforeseen!
