Everything's in boxes and in the car, as am I and the dog. We've set off, and there's nothing but six hours, an assload of cars and Sirius Broadway between us and what's now home.

So! I've been busy as hell the last week and a bit getting ready to move, which I'm doing the day after tomorrow. By Sunday, I should be back writing. In fact, I might be able to do some on Saturday during the drive.

Also, I'm giving up the 500 words a night thing. While I'm still going to try and write every night, pushing myself to write a specific amount just leads to me having to cut whole chunks I don't like out.

Been playing a bunch of Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior lately, and there's one thing that bugs me. Just about every single line (with the exception of the 'yes' and 'no' emotes) from the pirate is either a rape joke or a dick joke.

Seriously, guys? Come on. There's a limit to how funny this shit is, and despite the fact that the meatheads who run Deadliest Warrior seem to have found it pretty fucking funny, it gets pretty fucking old.

Last night.

Wow, last night.

As a lot of you know, I work downtown in Toronto as a security guard. Right now, I'm working night shifts, 12-14 hour ones.

This past week and a bit, I've been using a lot of that time for fanfic. Last night, however, was absolutely amazing, and it might honestly be a night I'll remember for years to come.

So. As those of you who read my last blog (the one I posted like an hour or two ago) know, my new plan is for no more delays.

I'm working 60 hour weeks (solo night shifts), but that just means I have plenty of time to write.

My goal: 500 words a night.

We'll see how well it goes. My current project is chapter 3 of Hex.
