As you have noticed, I have not been very active since finishing Piece by Piece in December last. There are reasons for this, but the gist of it boils down to the fact that I am (perhaps unsurprisingly) not very interested in continuing any of the stories I have - or had - planned out anymore. I'm not happy with this, but it is what it is, and I will not force myself to write stories I don't want to write.

Quick rundown of the past... six months for me. Did my exams, graduated from high school, had a grand old time vacationing around the world, and just got started with college. So yeah, I've been busy. Never mind joining and leaving the EaW team, as well as being member of three different submod teams for EaW (Das Vaterland, Fractured Harmony, and Pax Solaris).

With the end of the year almost upon us, I have begun thinking about plans for the new year. Allow me to explain it to you.

Piece by Piece, I will aim to have a new chapter for every two weeks, while my other longfics (for the record, those are: Crystal Story, Rising Sun, In the fields of Equestria and Threads and Lines) will be updated once every month. I hope this will allow me to balance everything correctly.

I've been working on the theory of how magic works for my longfics, Piece by Piece and Crystal Story, and so I've decided to put this in a blog post. I don't have an upload schedule, that much is obvious. I abandoned the one I had for Crystal Story because I don't have the time anymore to write 4k words in a week, now that I've ran out of pre-written content accumulated over a year, and I never had one for any of my other stories in the first place.

But, with October already nearly halfway done, I've decided I may as well plan ahead for once, at least to cover the rest of this year.
