It's scientifically proven that Sunday nights during a week when SOME PEOPLE are flooding the box with at least one Anon story every day are the worst time to submit a story to fimfic and try to get it featured, but...(shrug)...spontaneous fimfic-ing is fun!

Scootaloo visits Sunset Shimmer, and learns something horrifying about the differences between two worlds.

This story also started as a draft for the Sunset X Villain AU contest, but...life and stuff kind of got in the way of making contest deadline. 'You know how it goes sometimes.'

Sunset Shimmer never defeated a powerful alicorn to conquer the world and become a princess. She's just a student at Canterlot High School.

But sometimes, she has unpleasant dreams she can't explain.

This story might be an entry in Imposing Sovereigns IV, using the prompt Sunset Shimmer / Persistence. ('Harmony' and 'Strength' would also be possibilities.)

One night, the Tree of Harmony disguises itself as an alicorn to appear in the basement of Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.

A few days later, Sunset Shimmer and Princess Celestia heatedly discuss a night of passion only one of them knows anything about.

In the MLP:FiM episode "What Lies Beneath," the Tree of Harmony took the form of Twilight Sparkle, trapped the Student Six in caverns beneath the School of Friendship, and put its captives through weird ordeals to test them, threatening to hold them prisoner for longer (maybe forever?) if they failed.

In what world does that NOT make the Tree at least a part-time villain?
