Just wanted to say, thank you for writing Rewind, back in your FF.net days. That story made a pretty big splash with me, and I still find myself thinking of it even today. It's certainly impacted the way I write time travel stories.

Unnatural Selection is one of the few stories with the Dark and Gore tags that I've read on this site, by the way. It's even rarer in that it is one of the very, very few that I have enjoyed and upvoted. Up until the twist with Discord I was continually reminded of the relationship between slaves and their owners in the antebellum South... how on one hand they could be loved and treated almost like equals by their owners, and a moment later could be back to being a thing to be used. It was very unsettling for me. I expect that was the intent. Well done, you sicko.
