What would happen if a wave of magical energy direct from Equestria itself were to impact our planet?

The prologue and chapter one were originally supposed to be one chapter, but I decided it would make more sense to have them separate. All future chapters will be at least a thousand words long.

Twilight finds herself stuck in the human world for a week, luckily for her she has a human caretaker to get her various books so she can research everything about the new world surrounding her. After several days of reading she takes an interest in human acts of war, but how will she react when she witnesses one of these events occur over a live TV broadcast?
