Chrysalis is a broken and battered Queen, long free of the Glory she had inherited from her father and Grand-Mother. As her race slowly starves before her, and the fear of the once more becoming the Feral Beasts they still resemble shows itself, whispers of a land full of love reach Chrysalis' ears, filling her with hope to save her race and make them mighty again.

This part took a long time to put out. Sorry for the wait. It'll probably fall short of expectations for it, but again, I implore you to give the whole series a shot once it's out instead of judging it part by part.

Waking up after spending the last 3 months in a coma, Vinyl Scratch comes face to face with an Equestria where the dead rise up from their graves and try to eat the living.

With only the though of finding her wife Octavia and her adoptive daughter Silver Spoon, Vinyl Scratch gallops across the once idyllic land of Equestria. Along the way, she encounters others who just want to survive, and some who wish to do so by any means possible.

Follow Vinyl as she heads towards Fillydelphia, the last place she hopes is free of The Trotting Dead.

I do not dare claim ownership over The Walking Dead. That belongs solely to Robert Kirkman and his amazing teams. I merely want to use his basic layout of a zombie apocalypse for ponies. Is that really so wrong?

BTW Cloudchaser is selected as a Main Charcter because Flitter doesn't have her own box. She does not physically appear within the story.

The first story of my upcoming series, Darkness Awakens. The series will examine the lives of Discord, Chrysalis, King Sombra, and Nightmare Moon as well as two others, who are both involved and behind it all.

This story will follow Discord, through his first step in Equestria, to the moment he thaws ice in it. This is intended to be read after watching the corresponding episodes, so that's the reason for a lack of lines in those relating parts. They were just done too well already.

A/ N: I know the Prologue is a little short in comparison. I renumbered the Parts. That's why. Also, I have an Epilogue in mind, but I'm also okay with the way I ended it here. Comment if you want an Epilogue and I will add it. The story will be marked as complete no matter what though until I receive at least 2-5 people's comments for an Epilogue.

Vinyl Scratch. Nowadays, she's usually just called DJ PON-3 by most of Equestria. Vinyl hadn't always wanted to be a DJ though. In fact, a few years ago, she had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. It wasn't until she went to the Canterlot Academy for Artistic Ponies that she found her calling and her destiny. Follow the story of Vinyl and some of her classmates from an outsiders perspective as they complete their school days with very interesting yet happy results.

Some may call this stereotypical TaviScratch (the name I prefer for the couple) but I like to think I gave it a more believeable background than most of the others I have read.

NOTE : I marked it Teen because there is a bit of more Romantic Shipping near the End and I don't wanna get in any trouble. There also is an injury or two at one point, but as its not of the butchering variety and I dont go into anything but base detail, I didnt feel the need to put a content rating for Gore.
