Now that YouTube has started complying with COPPA on January 6, videos of cartoons such as Steven Universe and Infinity Train, as well as some fan-made MLP content have all their comments turned off. Also, whenever I stream YouTube on my phone, it shows a heads up saying, "Miniplayer is off for videos made for kids. Tap play to resume." With its trailer receiving a total of 132,000 likes and 342,000 dislikes, it does not surprise me at all. The CGI effects came off as horrid, unsettling, and off-putting and Universal Pictures just gave it a go signal without giving a damn about the overwhelming negativity from the public.
