That's an academy record!
Okay, okay, that's not really a record for any fic, even one that isn't mediocre. Plus you're probably wondering about that "hiatus" in the title anyways.
It only took a little less than 1 year this time, and that was only because I had bad block with this chapter and ended up scrapping/condensing most of what I wrote earlier in the year. Also ended up making my original self-imposed deadline from September-ish of having this out by Thanksgiving.
Going to try to shoot for the end of the year for Chapter 6, since I have a much clearer idea of how that'll play out (making it faster to write) but
So with the semi-close releases of Cider With a Side of Friendship and Night of the Living Plushies, I figured I'd just smoosh the random thoughts I wanted to share regarding the development of both into a single blog, as well as give a brief update on my plans for Different Events.
After 2 Years, 5 Weeks, and 1 Day, Different Events finally has a new chapter.
Did it take that long to write it? Absolutely not. Chapter 4 was written in a little over a month. The majority of my time for creative projects in the past two years was spent working on a script, revising the first three chapters of Different Events, and starting on another fic which ultimately got halted (for now) due to a lack of interest.
So after a year and half of working on a script for a pony video project, I finally started working on Different Events again, with the added help of the editor I found for the video project. As a result, I also revised the existing chapters, tweaking a lot of the specifics while still keeping the overall structure almost entirely intact. If you're interested in checking those out, they should be available as soon as this post goes live. As for Chapter 4, that's going to begin
