During the episodes Cutie ReMark part one and two, Twilight goes after Starlight in a race to save the timeline in Equestria. Expect Twilight failed and Starlight left her in the middle of a war against the Crystal Empire. Since she can't reveal herself to her friends and family, or go back to her timeline, she becomes a vigilante to help out in the war.

The final Two episodes to the Canterlot Wedding really got me thinking, why? Her family, friends, and mentor abandoned her, and only Applejack tried apologizing. What if Twilight was able to save Cadence and not herself.
