Procrastination... · 3:20am Sep 8th, 2021

So, I recently wrote a story entry for the QnS Random Act of Kindness challenge, 5 people entered, and I didn’t place. I honestly would not have been shocked if I came in last, because even though the other one that didn’t place was by a person with English as a nonprimary language, their story was tons better than my hot mess of a story.

Behind the Story: Story of Us · 2:47am Sep 3rd, 2021

I feel a little strange writing these sorts of things for speedwrites.

I mean, I wrote it in an hour, there was no preconceptional or conceptual phase. There is only an execution, writing, and review phase.

But I’m still going to damn well try.

Behind the Story: The Castle Swing · 2:30am Sep 1st, 2021

I’ll be releasing another one of these soon, but I’m a bit backed up right now, so I have to do them one at a time.

So, The Castle Swing is a story that exists. I unfortunately have nothing about it like I did with Sticky and Sweet, it’s merely a story that came from an abstract image and a killer song.

Finally Looking at My Follower Count for Once · 7:37pm Aug 18th, 2021

I joined this site almost three years ago. I joined with one express purpose: I wanted to write.

I didn’t just want to write, I wanted to write. I wanted to write a story that everybody would read, to have someone look at a story written by Dashie04 and say, “She was a good writer.” I wanted to write stories that people would cite as primary influences in the way that someone would cite FO:E or Rainbow Factory as influences to their adventure or grimdark stories respectively.

Something About Sticky and Sweet · 1:25pm Aug 17th, 2021

This is a blog post about Sticky and Sweet, you could call it an installment of Behind The Story, but it’s more about myself.

It’s no secret that I’ve written a lot of trans pony stories recently. Some of them have been received well, and some of them haven’t. It’s also no secret that I’m trans, anyone with a basic knowledge of pride flags could find that out by looking at my avatar.

Behind the Story: Something About a Violet · 3:54am Aug 9th, 2021

Now that this story has finished its run and has officially received slightly more views than Soul Vernacular gets in a year, it’s time to talk about it.

Behind the Story: What Were They? · 11:43pm Aug 6th, 2021

It only just now occurred to me that I never did one of these for this story. I don’t know why.

This story was written simply and came from a simple place.

I’m pretty sure anyone who reads my blogs knows that I’ve joined Quills and Sofas Speedwriting. I was talking with The Red Parade in the Discord when he mentioned a possible prompt for the Pillars Shipping Contest that was too good to pass up.

The Summer of ‘21 · 6:16pm Aug 2nd, 2021

School starts back up in 9 days. I don’t know what’s in store for me this year, but I know it’s obviously going to take up a long period of time every day.

So, I wanted to write this little thing, just a little something about my FiMFiction profile.

A Stupid Idea · 3:48am Jul 22nd, 2021

For some reason, one thing I absolutely love to death is JRPG tropes. I’m talking stuff like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, stuff concerning party composition, storyline tropes, and all that jazz.

It’s apparently gone so far that I want to write some MLP JRPG thing. It includes all this party composition, enemy tropes, and stuff like that. This may be because I’m playing through Dragon Quest VI and I honestly love it a lot.

Behind the Story: A Legend in My Time · 9:38am Jul 20th, 2021

I literally couldn’t fall asleep tonight, so I’m currently writing this at 4 AM on a Tuesday morning (God, I love Summer Vacation).
